Shooting Star
Looking up at the dark blue sky
Wishing upon a shooting star
Trying so hard not to cry
Yet the first tears aren’t very far
You think about what lies ahead
hoping that no more tears will be shed.
You try to be strong so all could see
that there is nothing that you can’t be.
Looking up at the dark blue sky
Wishing upon a shooting star
You smile sadly and wave goodbye
Taking nothing but your heart wrenching scars.
